I really don’t get it when people use 重色轻友 on me. It’s really kind of selfish when they use it on me. Why?
1. I am not attached for most of my life. So when they say that on me, I just feel like can’t they just be a bit more happy for me that I am meeting some guy out there instead of always being labeled as ‘picky’ and not wanting to be with anyone?
2. I don’t use this term on anyone because I have come into terms that people wanting to spend time with their loved ones over spending time with me on any day, let alone important holidays like Christmas or even on my/their birthdays, is NORMAL and acceptable. I never complain about it because it is a FACT OF LIFE. So why should they think that it is not normal for me to want to spend time with some guy out there instead of them? It’s just wayyy ridiculous. They, of all people, should understand what it is to spend time with someone that they like. Friends are just friends and at the end of the day, even if I’m going out with tons of guys, none of them can ever fill that void of a boyfriend because it is just NOT the same.
